Every last year student faces this challenge. At first, the mere thought of it may frighten, but with time it turns out that fear had big eyes and it is not so bad at all. It’s a good idea to get ready to write and approach it properly.
First of all, choose the right topic. The right one, that is, the one that interests you – after all, you will spend a lot of time working on it, so it is worth you to like what you do. The relevant topic is also one that lies within the promoter’s specialization. If you have a problem with its invention, talk to the promoter, tell him what you are interested in, and you will certainly find a solution and devise a topic.
Be aware of the access to materials in advance. Even the most interesting subject, if there is a very big problem with finding a bibliography, it will eventually become tiring. However, there are many possibilities: books, press, documents, the Internet, statistics, brochures, publications, analyzes, documentaries, reports, legislation and many more.
Make a work plan. Writing without it can end up being confused, disregarding, repetition. List in detail what you want to include in each of the chapters.
The most convenient thing is to write a job starting with chapters, that is the main content, and only at the end, to start and end. While it is obvious that the ending is written at the end, in the case of starting no longer. However, if you already have a written job, it will be easier for you to write what you want to write. Butter but it is not always possible to complete the plan to the end.
Remember about footnotes. Place them each time you use an item. There is no such thing as too many footnotes. Their greater number only shows your commitment. Also, remember that the footnote is your only defense against plagiarism.
If you use the Internet, in the footnote, in addition to the page address, you must also include the date of reading. It’s just the Internet, the site exists one day and the other does not (or changes the content), so if something changes, you’ll always defend yourself, that this day it looked like this.
Format the text according to the university’s requirements
If you want to put drawings, charts, tables, etc. in your work, consult the promoter if they are to be in the right places in the job or in the annex at the end.
Use correct and formal English. In the diploma thesis there is no place for colloquial formulations.
Be consistent. If, for example, you exchange something in a text, do not use it once with a digit and once with a word record. Choose one way.
If you cite something, be sure to use other people’s words.
Remember the cover page. Its pattern is most often available to students of a given university. It should contain: the name of the university, faculty, field of study, the title of the work, your name and surname, the supervisor’s indication, the place and year of the work.
Page numbering starts with an introduction, not from the cover page or from the table of contents.
If such is the requirement of the university, you should also include a statement at the work that the work was written by yourself. Such a statement is usually placed immediately on the cover page.
